Are You The Right Man For Her?

Gen. 2:24

” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. "

Yesterday, we talked about different categories of wife in the marriage market but today we are looking the types of men available in the supermarket of marriage.

The Bible says ” a man shall leave his father and his mother to cleave to his wife " so here the Bible tells us that it is the man that is getting married to the woman not the other way around. Many men have lost their parents prematurely because of not understanding this simple fundamental of marriage,they put their parents first before their wives and God forcefully removes the barrier which is hindering the progress of that marriage to teach the husband what it means to cleave to his wife because by himself he can't. When you take the decision to marry,you are entering into God's sacred union&will live as per His guidance(the word).

There are also 4 categories of men in the supermarket of marriage; bad husband, satanic husband, good husband and Godly husband.

1. BAD HUSBAND:

- he doesn't care about the feelings of his wife.

- his wife is a slave to him

- helping his wife to do anything at home is an abomination.

- he barks at the children like a soldier at the parade ground

- he is quick to beat his children with slightest mistakes and also beat his wife.

- his children doesn't have access to his properties.

- he has a lot of concubines(girlfriends) like king Solomon

- he is an addict drunker n master womanizer

- he seduce all his wife's friends and sisters.

- he doesn't put money for food at home but expect the woman to cook.

- he dissociate the wife from all good friends and neighbours.

- he doesn't want his wife to dress well to be admired by other people but he runs after women who dress well outside.

- he is a commander and anyone who doesn't obey him get the beating of life.

- he listen to sermons but condemns the pastors

- once the wife give birth to a child, he doesn't take her out to cinema, restaurant or amusement park anymore. She has become old school to him.

- he doesn't identify his wife sexual needs and doesn't stay at home with her and children.

- he attends parties like Ankara and lace and love his friends more than his family.

- he prefer his mother's opinion than that of his wife.

- he suspect his wife's every move as if she is seeing another man.

- he set his own friend to try to seduce his wife to know if she is faithful.

- he hates his wife's family with perfect hatred and expects her to disown her family&love only his -he puts his mother and father first before his wife and children

2. SATANIC HUSBAND:

 - he is an agent of darkness.

- he came into her life for a purpose to destroy her.

- he married her with charm and use his evil power to collect all her properties

- he pretends to love her but he is only tearing her apart

- he abandons her when his purpose of destroying her destiny and future is accomplished.

-he stands in her way of her spiritual growth refusing her to attend prayer meetings&night prayers or even engage in prayers in the house.

-he permits her to praise the Lord in his presence saying she is making noise

3. GOOD HUSBAND:

- he sees the wife as a friend, sister and mother.

- he doesn't cheat but prefer his wife and cherishes her.

- he drinks but not too much and he likes to spend time with his wife and children.

- he make sure his family never lack but also plans for beer parlour in his income.

- he doesn't allow intruder into his marriage and guide his family jealously.

- he pays his children's school fees regularly and take care of his wife needs.

- he pleases his mother and his wife without preferential.

- he also take his wife and children out when he is on leave.

- he doesn't really get angry at his wife and correct his children with love.

- he loves his wife and respect her family.

4. GODLY HUSBAND:

 - he loves God and always pray for the progress of his family.

- he doesn't have any extra marital affairs(girlfriends).

- he train his children and wife in ways of the Lord.

- he loves talking about sermons.

- he takes responsibilities very serious and have a way of meeting up with them even in financial difficulties.

- he supports his wife with resources and prayers to achieve her destiny.

- he doesn't always find fault in her family but always encourage everyone to be at best.

- he is a fun man and the house is lively with him.

- he knows the importance of feelings and always attends to his wife sexual needs.

- he design a good prayer time for the family and he fast regularly to check the spiritual background of her family.

- God is his first priority and after that his wife and children.

The power in decision making

As I read the book of Daniel Chapter 1:1-12 i got to learn something about taking a decision and two key words were revealed to me and that is "decision and compromise". Daniel and his 3 friends understood that they had a choice to eat the ancestral food that the Royal house prepares for them or to stand their ground holding on to their Christian belief. The 4 then decided to rather eat something that the ground produces which is vegetables and drink water, in my understanding this was not cooked veggies but rather raw veggies and we all know that in the days of Daniel water was taken from the river or wells so it means they opted for nature than cooked food that will be presented to idols. As Children of God the minute we take a decision not to defile the word of God, then we allow God to take leadership in our lives and move in our favor, read verse 9.

As Africans we come from backgrounds where ancestral rituals are a norm and in other households are a must and as we grow and decide to follow Jesus we end up being caught in the middle and we end up compromising our walk with the Lord because we want to please our parents. We even quote the word "Children honor your Mother and Father."  The question we must ask is in this instance are we honoring our parents by compromising our God by engaging in rituals? What i am here to tell you is you can still honor your parents and fulfill the word yet not compromise God. What you need to do is go in your closet room and ask the Lord to take the lead in what you are asked to do, this is when you are not double-minded, this is when you have decided that you will not participate in ancestral activities and let His favor be on you so that when you address your parents you do not sound rude and arrogant.

We are in a era where Men of God compromise the gospel instead of preaching the living word they preach wealth and prosperity instead of saving souls they sugar coat the word of God because they are scared Christians will leave the church and they will lose out on tithes. The Gospel of God which is the gospel of truth has been compromised we need servants of God who will stand the ground just like Daniel and his friends and say whether I can preach to 3 people every Sunday it doesn't matter as long as i am preaching the Living word. We need Christians who will say i will not mix culture or traditional activities with my Christian belief,come Good Friday(passover) or Christmas we see Christians slaughtering goats and sacrificing to their gods and sundays they take the bible and go to the house of the Lord to worship.

We need Children of God who will stand against the oppression of Nebuchadnezzar and say we are not going to compromise our belief by engaging in idols/ancestors. Here the tone of Daniel in verse 12 when he spoke to the Official, he understood that as a Child of God everything is taken care off he doesn't need to be hostile,harsh or rude. God always fights for us if we stand firm and be grounded (read James 1:1-8), He raises the standards for us and qualifies us when we take the decision not to compromise Him.

The Battle is the Lord's

Have you ever been confronted with a situation where you want to take full control and investigate and act harshly and as the anger dies done you hear a still voice saying this battle is not yours but mine to fight hands off and you keep digging saying i have all this under control, there are lots of information one can get out of today's technology,many ways to deal and confront situations but when you are a child of God the first place to seek for solution when calamities strike should be to God but anger which is a spirit from satan steals that focus away from us and we end up taking matters into our own hands.

I am also guilty of taking matters into my own hands when I'm angry, I will google all kinds of solutions or advises and apply them and when anger dies down then I start paying attention and that's when I hear the Lord saying my daughter that battle is not yours to fight but mine. And the sad thing is I already messed up with my little knowledge but God says its not too late to bring all your burdens and take His yoke for it is lighter. With all challenges our focus should be on God the Alpha and Omega of all things, remember that with all challenges God has already given you a solution but you will only know the solution if you seek Him and completely trust Him. Psalm 25:3 "those who trust in the Lord, He will never put them to shame."

My prayer should be Lord please with all the challenges in my life,change me first before you change my situation because like a mentioned earlier that I love taking things into my own hands and when I fail its when I remember oh there is God who can do the impossible, I need to find myself in a place where I always keep calm and say "this battle is not mine but the Lord's" and learn to wait patiently on Him for He answers all prayers.

Marriage

I was invited to a marriage seminar on 21/02/2015 and was happy to attend as i felt i also needed a revival and to be reminded of the little details of marriage. I must admit i learned a lot of things especially coming from Christian Old Women who stood the test of times. I was however shocked to see my name as a guest speaker and weirdly the last on the list to speak and i panicked oh God please help me what will I say I am very young and still fresh/ rather new to the field of marriage but because I serve a Mighty God I found myself speaking. I opened the book of Ecclesiastes 4:12 "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" Let's us all agree that marriage was created by God for enjoyment or for company the word says in Genesis God after giving Adam an activity to name all animals He (God) noticed that Adam was still lonely hence Eve was created. So Marriage is a sacred covenant that God has His best interest at heart so verse 12 of Ecclesiastes reminds every couple taking this step of uniting in Holy Matrimony to invite God to be the 3 cord of the strand because if He is there He strengthens the relationship. In addition to this we will look at John 2:1-3 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:² And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

³ And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 

This scripture reminds me of a sermon i received that was an eye-opener in every marriage no matter how old the union is there will come a time when the wine will be finished what is important as husband and wife is to know who to call when the wine is finished. If you understand that every thing that is created or manufactured should it give you factory fault and you find the manual that came with it no helpful there are always contact numbers written that you can call and take it back to the manufacturer just like marriage if you have invited God the Creator as the third strand to the cord you will know that when the wine is finished you will run boldly to Him and say Master the wine is finished and He will (read John 2:7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.⁸ And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.⁹ When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

Only He can restore, only He can turn your pure water into a sweet wine that you will enjoy. If you go down to verse 11 of John 2 you will read that this was Jesus's first miracle to perform meaning that God values and honors this covenant of Marriage and loves it so dearly that He gave us solution for it, Spouses shouldn't try to change one another only God can change one's character, only God can bring sweet wine into any marriage and remove the bitter wine but only if you know who is the creator of marriages and when the going gets tough who to run to and most importantly what to say. Divorce was created by the devil and should you have problems and the first thing that comes to mind is where to find the best divorce lawyer you are lost and conforming to the standards of this world. There is nothing too difficult for God even that head of the house you have in your home that is a headache only God can change him, call on Him. He is always available, He wouldn't have use a strong word as HATE when it comes to divorce if He didn't love and care for our marriages but we always want an easy way out. I was reminded when i was listening to another sermon that most women and men of God have spouse challenges not that you married the wrong man or woman but because to get to you satan has to utilize the one you love dearly, bearing in mind that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, your spouse is not a demon but he/she is used to destroy the ministry God has for you because there are many powerful men and women of God that their power can be even greater should their spouse join them but cause the devil is aware that such a power couple can cripple the kingdom of darkness he lures one partner away. Stand firm and do not stop interceding for your marriage, i only know what is tormenting me i do not know yours maybe it looks impossible to restore with the naked eye but God says TRY me the creator or founder of marriages.

Pride

Today i want us to look at another small word with just 5 letters but the results can be costly "PRIDE". We  read that Satan was cast out of heaven because of PRIDE. Just a quick recap so that you understand what I am talking about.Satan fell because of pride. He desired to be God, not to be a servant of God. Notice the many “I will...” statements in Isaiah 14:12-15. Ezekiel 28:12-15 describes Satan as an exceedingly beautiful angel. Satan was likely the highest of all angels, the most beautiful of all of God's creations, but he was not content in his position. Instead, Satan desired to be God, to essentially “kick God off His throne” and take over the rule of the universe. Satan wanted to be God, and interestingly enough, that is what Satan tempted Adam and Eve with in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-5). How did Satan fall from heaven? Actually, a fall is not an accurate description. It would be far more accurate to say God cast Satan out of heaven (Isaiah 14:15; Ezekiel 28:16-17). Satan did not fall from heaven; rather, Satan was pushed out of heaven.

 

Now that we have a background of what happened to satan who had the spirit called pride,lets look at what the scripture say in Proverbs 8:13. Pride is a demonic spirit as God through the Holy Spirit gives us the spirit of meekness (humbleness) because it is a spirit we must ask God to fill us with His spirit of humbleness we shouldn't be comfortable with the spirit of pride because it robs us of our inheritances of blessings. If you have noticed people with pride they are evil cause they have the spirit of competing (jealousy)with other people because good things should only belong to them.The kind of pride that stems from self-righteousness is sin and God hates it because it is a hindrance to seeking Him. Psalm 10:4 explains that the proud are so consumed with themselves that their thoughts are far from God: in his pride the wicked does not seek him, in all his thoughts there is no room for God. This kind of haughty pride is the opposite of the spirit of humility that God seeks. The proud are so blinded by the pride that they think they have no need for God or worse that God should accept them, as they are because they deserve His acceptance. The consequences of pride Proverbs 16:18-19, Isaiah 14:12-15 and Isaiah 14:22. Pride is sinful because pride is giving ourselves the credit for something that God has accomplished. Pride is taking the glory that belongs to God alone and keeping it for ourselves. Pride is essentially self-worship. Anything we accomplish in this world would not have been possible were it not for God enabling and sustaining us. Only God deserves the glory no one else and we should remember that we were created to glorify Him and exalt His Name.

Comfort Zone

John 5:1-8

The invalid in Bethesda was lying in his mat for 38 years old; I can assume that no one was changing this mat every day, week, month or years so it could have been a dirty mat. When Jesus instructed him to get up he immediately added "pick up your mat and walk"; Jesus could have just healed him but He(Jesus) understood the power of doubt we Christians have, the fear of the unknown we have; basically this mat is all this man knew for 38 years so if he had left the mat by the pool side wouldn’t he come back for it?, surely so he would have as we are scared to leave our comfort zone. We as Christians have different comfort zones that is contaminating our lives I won’t know yours but definitely I know mine and as we have come to Jesus He is saying today “Get up; pick up your mat and walk” leave that comfort zone, press forward and never look back so that you grow spiritually. You cannot expect to grow in the walk with God while you still have that dirty mat by the pool side. God says take everything but you are saying “I grew up like this / everyone at home is like this, we are known to be stubborn, He is saying if you are ready "get up, pick up your dirty mat and walk along the way He will prune you. Nothing is impossible with Him, He formed you in your Mother’s womb, He can change your character, do not think your generational strongholds He cannot handle,cause there is nothing impossible for Him to do. Move from your comfort zone and trust in His guidance.

The meaning of Christmas

I remember growing up in a family where the spirit of Christmas was alive.Where as a family we'll take a well deserved holiday just in celebration of the birth of Christ.As years went by I have noticed that the spirit is surely dying,families no longer go an extra mile of slaughtering sheeps,roasting turkeys,gammons and opening presents.I remember Christmas eve,my friend and I would stay up all night waiting to see the stars dance(it was just a myth LOL).

I often ask myself what went wrong,what killed the spirit of celebrating the birth of our Saviour?Was it when people started calling it Xmas?Was it cause of finances?If someone can come to my aid and give me an answer.This was one day Christian and non-christian alike have a feast,exchange presents,sing carols,decorate their homes.I urge every Christian to bring alive the birth of Christ,to celebrate Him as the day He was born the heavens rejoiced so is the earth for a Saviour came.

The meaning of Christmas:

I pray that everyone will have a blessed Christmas and revive the spirit of Christmas once more.Teach our kids the real meaning of Christmas so that they pass the culture to their children as well.

Hmmmm,sensitive topic.Well I know but it has to be addressed.One can ask Kulani,what are you talking about.Nowadays Christians have become tourists,we find Christians hopping from one church to another.One can ask why is that so?Honestly speaking I do not know as I am not a hopper myself but I got to ask a lot of people and to my surprise here is some of the answers.A christian sister went to church A and the pastor was preaching and all of sudden the pastor was talking about her and she quit the church.Okay you told the pastor your personal problems and you one day go to church and find the pastor preaching on what it seems is those problems you told him about,does leaving church solve those problems?I personally would not take it as an attack by the pastor cause if he chooses to preach about what I told him and if I open my ears at church I will find my solution and it might also help someone else at church experiencing the very same problem but never got to talk about it and maybe that somebody that day was planning on committing suicide but through the pastor preaching about you,you saved someone else.I am not condoning that pastors preach about us when we tell them our problems but sometimes the holy spirit will prompt the pastor to talk about it so that lives can be won through your experiences.Main mission,we must be fishers of men and fish them alive.....

The Christian sister left church A and now going to church B.At church B you want to be involved in the church stuff.Good as we must work for God but the problem is you want to be given attention and if not,the pastor has favorites then you quit.Okay you had quit church B cause you were not noticed,this is a crying shame as the bible says "God loves a cheerful giver"you are giving with your voice to be loved by the pastor and to be seen.I think you want to be recognized and praised you should go to the pop idols cause in church there is only one mission "to serve God,worship Him in spirit and in truth."

The Christian sister leaves church B and now attends church C.At church C,the pastor have his own attacks e.g divorce.You say I cannot not be led by a divorcee cause the spirit of divorce will be hovering over the church.We must not forget that the pastor is also a human being and when the devil attack,he starts with the head.One can quote the verse in Matthew "can the blind lead the blind"absolutely NO but we must pray for our pastors that the spirit of God be with them everyday of their lives even when it comes to their decision making.So if you leave the church who should uplift this pastor in prayer.The bible teaches us that we must pray for one another.You remember in the word,when the people wanted to stone the prostitute and Jesus said "let he who have no sin cast the first stone",what happened after.

The Christian sister now goes to Church D.At church D,you told the pastor that you have a boyfriend,who you engage sexually with him and the pastor quotes from the bible "fornication is a sin" you are now angry with the pastor and believes that he is judging you and you leave the church.Pastors are here to tell us about Jesus and the eternal life.What does carrying your cross and following Jesus mean?What is the meaning of the blood that was shared on Calvary?The bible says "No one come to the Father but through Me" so aren't we taught that following Jesus means leaving your old ways e.g fornication,stealing etc and living a holy life.What does the word Christian mean?In my understand it means Christ-like so if you call yourself a Christian,you shouldn't look at the pastor's advise as sabotage.The pastor advises you according to the word,didn't he give you reference from the word?One can say but the pastor used to fornicate before he\she came to church,okay you are right but check here BEFORE not NOW that the pastor is in Christ.When the pastor was called to the gospel,he/she repented from all the old ways and now is a new creation.

My point is this,each and every church has it's own politics but hopping from one church to another,what is it that you will benefit at the end.The word reminds us that the coming of the Lord is near.Do you want the Lord to come and still find you exploring churches?Remember He says in His word that "If one or two are gathered in my Name,I am in their mist"so rid yourself from the mentality that there is a powerful church,all churches are powerful cause they gather in His name.As Christians we tend to judge churches,who gave us that permission?Yes the bible tells us that in the last days there will be false preachers but does it says that we are given the right to judge?It is your Christian duty to pray before choosing a church and the spirit of God when you invite it to guide you,it will surely do.What do you gain by bad mouthing pastors or churches?As a Christian you should look at your spiritual walk with God not what other people are doing.

I love this scripture "not all who says Lord,Lord shall inherit the kingdom of heaven."This remind me of scholars,you find friends still in school and they bunk classes and do all these funny stuff but amazingly one learner pass and the other fails.What makes you think made the other to fail and the other to pass whilst they were doing the very same thing?Obvious answer,the one who passed was studying in secret.So it's like Christian hood,other Christians in secret repent and others just goes on and on so one day when you get to heaven do not be surprised to see your friend in heaven and yourself in hell.

Churches shouldn't be used as social gatherings or fashion shows etc.We must respect the house of our Father.He lives there so we ought to give Him all the respect due to His name.Know who you are in Christ and where you want to be with Christ.Church hopping unfortunately it won't strengthen your walk.There is nothing wrong as visiting a church as long as you have a church that you call home,so do not confuse my post.

Your attitude towards life

In life there are situations that are there to make you and not to break you but your weapon should be your attitude,if you look at the situation and say Oh look at this giant(Goliath) obviously that Goliath will defeat you cause you have shown it fear but if you can say as small as I am this Goliath is under my feet,you will defeat it.Reference is the story of Goliath and David and because David had faith that he won't be defeated,he won the battle.

When my daughter died I said look here fire as hot as you are,you won't burn me but just like gold you will polish me(refine) and when I come out I will shine even brighter,this also takes me to my favorite verse in Proverbs "the road that the righteous walk becomes brighter and brighter each morning"I got up and pressed forward and I everyone said "you are a very strong person Kulani"to be honest I am not strong,I just see things differently and that shapes my attitude concerning life's ups and downs.I prefer not to say oh this mountain is too big I cannot climb it rather I say mountain I will climb you and even if I get tired along the way I will rest and still continue till I reach the top.I am still in the mourning process and sometimes it feels like I go back but I know that I am pressing forward and soon I will see the light.

If you want to be a victor,first work on your attitude.How will you conquer if you always talk about how hard the problem is,or big the mountain is rather talk to the problem.Complaining will never remove any obstacle but it will look like you are just drowning.Remember the Israelites they stayed in the desert for 40 years because of their attitude,they always complained in a sense that they didn't even see that they were walking in one place,meaning they were not progressing.There is no use asking all pastors to pray for you when tomorrow when someone ask you "how are you" and your response will be "I do not see any change"do not exhaust the men of God,yes there are there to service you,pray for you but you are wasting their energy if you will still complain and not have faith that since I have been prayed for God is taking care of my need.

Celebrating the gift of life

Today marks a very special day in my life,the day that my mom and dad,2 sisters were blessed with a baby girl who happened to be the last girl.The Lord saw it fit to treasure my parents with this precious gift and I want to thank them for raising me well to be the strong,independent woman that I am today and most inportantly to be a woman in Christ.

Turning 25 on the 25 of January makes me feel blessed as some didn't even get to celebrate this age and as a sick infant that I was I thank God for saving my life and giving me health thereafter.I know it was hard for my parents to look after a not so promising infant,thinking that anytime she can go but today I testify of the goodness of my Lord who said "Only I knew you before you were even formed in your mother's womb,I knew you were there."Only He knows the number of hairs on my head so He had predestined my life even before time.I can imagine how happy my parents were when I was healed and celebrated my 1st birthday and many more till today I am still here and with no health issues but very healthy and prosperous.

The Lord created me to bring glory unto His kingdom,that's the reason I chose to neglect the world and followed Him.In Him I have found shelter,when I feel I am not worthy He reminds me that "I am wonderfully and fearfully made in His image".When I am troubled He reminds me that"I will never leave nor forsake you."I find my strenght from Him.

Thank you Lord for the gift of life,for the blessings and for health.May I continue to grow in You and fear You.

To my parents,my siblings,my daughter,my fiance and friends thank you for your love and support.May you be blessed beyond measure.My spiritual friends and mother thank you for your guidance and wise advises.I love you all.

There is power in Midnight Prayers

Last year my pastor preached about standing in at the gates of times(praying between 12:00-4:00) and I tried yet failed as at that time of the night sleeping is more enjoyable.This year a friend sent me an e-mail on this topic,just scanned through it and closed,then a brother in the Lord came to deliver the same message and that's when it hit home that God is calling me and I should obey.Yes sleeping is nice and the thieves comes at night to steal,kill and destroy and when I am sleeping I am losing on my blessings.My brother took an initiative to wake me up at night by a phone call and from there I set a watch to wake me up even though at times I can't but the holy spirit wakes me.

There is power in midnight prayers and I came to tell you today that you do not need 3 servants to come tell you like me,take an initiative and start claiming what is yours.Satanists operate so much during these times,coming to steal your blessing Oh sleeper.In proverbs the word tells us that sleeping makes you poor,it makes you poor because devil worshippers steal,reverse or hold on to your blessings.Rid your mind from the believe that if God wants to bless you there is nothing that is going to stop Him and fetch your blessings.Indeed there is nothing stoping Him but there is the devil hijacking what is suppose to be yours.Most of us christians miss our blessings because of ignorance,even in the olden days(days of the bible) you will read that they used to wake up and go pray.A sister said to me this week,that Kuli have you realised that satanists prosper more,non-christians also but we christians are obeidient,we pay our tithes,pray etc but we are the poorest,we do not get promotions,we have relationship problems etc...This is a fact that satanists obey their master and work day and night whilst we Christians do not.What I am saying to you is you deserve more because you pray the Living God,Creator of heaven and earth and everything in it and below so please claim your inheritance.You are born with these things,channel yourself in the right direction instead of envying,moaning and groaning talk to your Father,declare things according to the word.You have the weapon,USE IT.

Saturate your life and that of your loved ones with devine power that cannot be insulted or ignored.Claim your things and experience God's loving kindness and mercy in this 2011 and the years to come.Spend time in prayers,in reading the word of God.Our God is the same yesterday,the same today and the same forever.Test Him and see if He won't come through for you.He is waiting for you.

Good bye 2010

As we bid farewell to 2010,the year we all have been waiting for,the year that seemed to be rosy yet brought most people turmoil and aches.I am one of those people who didn't enjoy 2010 and cannot wait to see what the Lord have for me in 2011,more reason I am not even writing down new year's resolution and standing on His word in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,plans to prosper you and not to harm you".And Lord for 2011 I am saying have your way in me,I am going to trust in you to do what you need to do with my life.

Yet I want to thank God for His blessings in 2010,He gave me a house,blessed my finances,blessed the fruits of my womb,blessed me and my family with good health and protected us from all the unknown.

2011 make some way Kulani is coming and this time it will be different as she is coming in with the Lord.Heavenly Father I have confidence that you will see me through 2011,it will be the year of abundant blessings according to deut 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7. The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

Faith vs Trust

Faith is to believe something that you never seen as you have seen it.According to my definition of faith,most christians lack faith in God.Why do I say so?In Matthew 14:23-33 we see Peter having no faith in God.You pray Lord I need a financial breakthrough and when tomorrow the bank phones you and say we are repossessing your car you immediately forget about the request that you had made to God and His promises in the word and you panick and cry just like Peter but today Christ is saying "you of little faith,why did you doubt?"If you know who you are in Christ you must just say after hanging up,all things are possible in Christ if I only believe.Mark 11:23 23“Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain,‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and do not doubt in your heart but believe that what you say will happen, it will be done for you.Today I am saying whatever happen my sister after you have prayed,keep the faith for the Lord Who sees your heart will surely grant you your hearts desires.As He is always on time never too early nor too late and He said what kind of a father gives his son a snake when asked for a fish,none,so why don't you have faith in Him that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in heaven.God is your Father,treat him as you treat your earthly father and I will say even more than you treat your early father as He has all the riches.I can now ask my father for a thing and he can say "my girl daddy cannot afford that."but with our Heavenly Father nothing is impossible,He owns everything that is anything.

Benefits of Faith.
1. Faith brings salvation. (Ephesians 2:8,9). Whosever believes in Him has eternal life. (John 3:16), and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. (John 5:24). The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17)
2. Faith brings answers to prayer. "And whatever things you ask in prayer, really believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:22). Since God tells us to pray for our daily bread (Matthew 6:11), faith is therefore a key to our material provision.
3. Faith brings all the benefits of salvation into our lives (Ephesians 2:8,9). This includes healing, prosperity, peace, love, joy (1 Peter 1:8), deliverance from demons and the curse, sanctification of the mind and emotions (the salvation of the soul) and any other benefit which the word of God promises to us.
4. Faith is a spiritual force through which our ministry for Christ becomes effective. (Mark 11:23; Matthew 17:19,20). Faith is a major key to ministry success. It brings to you what you need for your ministry, and by imparting it to others through your life and your ministry of God's Word, you enable them to receive the blessings of God's grace mentioned above.
5. In particular, faith is the major key for an effective healing and deliverance ministry. Jesus Christ "the same yesterday, today and forever" lives in the Christian (Hebrews 13:8, Galatians 2:20), and through the Christian wants to reveal the power of salvation to men in a way they can see and feel. In this way, our evangelism concerning the Kingdom of God will not be in talk, but in power (1 Corinthians 4:20).


This takes me to my next point,trust:the ability to rely on another person's strength and integrity.We often say trust is earned;God earned your trust along time ago.He is a faithful God,He never changes,He is the same yesterday,today and forever.He never gave you any reason not to trust His abilities nor capabilities.God is not human that He can lie,what He had promised then He is still promising today.Sometimes we must stop praying one prayer everyday like a CD with a scratch and start waiting upon His promises and meditating on His word day and night.He is able to do all things,nothing is impossible or too hard for Him,that's why He says "come to me all you who are heavy burdened and I will give you rest,take my yoke for it is lighter."so why do you think your challenges are too hard for Christ also why don't you just trust in Him and He will do what He said He will do.Some will say eish you christians you make things as easy as ABC because you are not in my situation,it is not because we are not in your situation or we are never challenged but it is because the word has been revealed to us and we know the truth.We christians or rather say people we need each other to uplift one another in prayer in one cannot.Psalm 37:3-6.Proverbs 3:5-6 stop relying on your own understanding that's where you go wrong and give birth to more problems in your life just put your trust in the Lord.He says "those who trust in the Lord,I will renew their strength,they will run and not grow weary they will fly on eagles wings."He is talking about you,only if you trust in Him will you enjoy His promises.

Obidience to God

Definition of Obidience from the dictionary:(the act of carrying out commands).As we all know in each and every households there are a set of rules,laws,commands that children must live by,if one may ask why set rules so that there is order in your house and that it be respected by everyone,exactly the same in our Father's house we have laws and decrees.We say we love the Lord but do we love Him enough to keep His laws and decrees that are set out for us in the book of law(the bible),Deuteronomy 11:1.

The bible teaches us how to live,Exodus 20.There is one commandment that stands out for me,I am not saying that the others are not important because they are,this one comes with a promise,verse 12 Honor your father and mother so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving(Ephisians 6:1-3).Obidience to God comes with fruits that an individual will reap as well as curses through disobidience.Deuteronomy 28:1-13 and verse 15-65.Deuteronomy 11:13.Romans 5:19.At times we bring curses unto ourselves because we know the truth yet turn a blind eye to it.

Since we are talking about curses let me pass this message through.You want a financial breakthrough,honour the decrees of God Malachi 3:7-10,you want a healthy,fulfilling marriage\relationship Matthew 22:37-39;Ephisians 5:22-33,well behaved children Proverbs 22:5,Matthew 19:13-14.this is to mention just a few.Our Father is faithful and keep His word,yet in most cases we disobey Him but He is merciful to us if we return to Him and repent Jeremiah 3:12-13.

Forgive and Forget

This is a topic that most Christians do not like as they say it is easy to talk but difficult to act but let's see what Our Lord say about this topic.We say we are Christians because we are following Him so let's do that whole heartedly.If one may ask:Kulani is it easy for you to forgive,I will say YES and those who are close to me can bear testimony cause some usually say you have a weak heart or stupid heart(smilling),it is not me it is Christ who live in me.

Let's first look at the dictionary meaning of forgive:to excuse for a fault or an offense,pardon,to renounce anger or resentment against.Dictionary meaning of forget:to be unable to remember something.

We often say that forgiveness is not easy maybe because of the hurt we might have endured but forgiveness my dear sisters is a choice that we as individuals have to make through a decision of our own free will,motivated by obidience to God and His command to forgive.Jesus taught Peter about forgiveness in Matthew 18:21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive
someone who sins against me? Up to seven times?”Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.We are also taught forgiveness in the Lord's prayer in Matthew 6:12And forgive us our debts,as we also have forgiven our debtors.Colossians 3:13 instructs us to forgive as the Lord forgave us:13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, a God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,14having canceled the statement of indebtedness, with its particulars, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.

Harbouring anger makes you the prisoner of yourself,you suffer most when you choose not to forgive and forget as you might find who you call your emeny happy with life and not even realising that he\she have an enemy in you.When you choose to forgive and forget,you are choosing to setting yourself free from bondage,anger,bitterness,resentment and hurt.

What is the use of saying Kulani I forgive you but will never forget?When you wrong God and pray for forgiveness do you say Lord please forgive me of my sins and never forget them?or you pray the full confession prayer and you know your debt has been cancelled meaning your sins have been fully forgiven and forgotten for that matter.We pray:God make me into Your likeliness yet we limit Him by the things we do.There is a song I love so much it goes like:"I wanna be like Jesus,I wanna be more and more like Him,everyday He is changing me He is making me what I should be I wanna be more and more like Him."meaning I wanna be like Jesus easy to forgive and forget,to live in peace and perfect harmony with everyone,remember what He said in pain,when crucified:"Lord forgive them for they do not know what they are doing."Our God is love,He is the prince of peace.One can say Kulani you do not know what so and so did to me and I know I won't forgive him\her,yes I do not know and what I know is the bible says:the fight is not for us but for the Lord.He is Jehovha Sabaoth He will avenge for you in good time.

If I may ask,do you think that in God's eyes there is a greater or smaller sin or sin is just sin and to be redeemed from it you need to confess it.Why must we forgive those who have hurt us so badly.We forgive because Jesus commanded us to forgive.Matthew 6:14For if you forgive others when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.15But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.We also forgive so that our prayers will not be hindered.Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”Believe it or not forgiveness can hinder you from receiving what God intended for you and the devil can also use it to cause you to sin.

Like I said in the beginning we forgive out of obidience to the Lord and it must be out of our own free will.The reward of forgiveness is freedom.We must forgive by faith,whether we feel like it or not.We must trust God to do the work in us that needs to be done so that the forgiveness process is complete Philipians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.In psalm David says:search my heart oh Lord and take away my iniqities.Forgive and enjoy the fruits of the spirit Galations 6:22But the fruit of the Spirit islove,joy,peace,patience,kindness,goodness,faithfulness,23gentleness and self-control.Pray and ask God to create a clean heart and to renew a right spirit within you.

Generational Curses

Let's talk about generational curses.I am sure most will go like what?Who does it follow etc.As I unveiled the truth I said let me bring it to your attention.Let us start by understanding what are generational curses?Generational curses are assigned to an individual(s) based on the sins of his\her parents.Exodus 20:5"You shall not bow down to them or worship them;for I the Lord your God,am a jealous God punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.Also read Exodus 34:7,Numbers 14:18,Deuteronomy 5:9.

Are you a born again christian?The life that you are living today;is it the legacy you want to leave your children and your third generation to come?Lots of women are suffering,did you take time to find out the root of the cause,can it be a generational curse or demonic attacks?Generational curses are real and can hinder you from receiving what God had put for you.Some people speak proudly about them e.g in my family we do not last in marriages,they all end in divorce or in my family we have children out of wedlock or in my family we are men stealers,at home we are drunkards etc;why are you embracing them instead of rebuking them and claim what the devil has stolen from your family.Maybe you do not care now but what will happen to your children and the next generation to come.Do not let generational curses spread like cancer in your family,take a stand and break it concentrating on both sides of your family(that of your mother and father).

How can we break generational curses one may ask?Through God's salvation.Salvation enables all sins to be covered by the blood of Jesus,including any sins of the parents that the law may hold accountable for.Revelation 1:5-6"and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
I want to highlight this point to you NO CHRISTIAN CAN FACE GENERATIONAL CURSES FOR ANY REASON BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN FREED FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW THROUGH CHRIST HAVING BEEN MADE A CURSE FOR US,THIS IS ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD NOT KULANI'S PERCEPTION.Galatians 3:13:14 "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written:“Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”14He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.Remember in the word it says if the Son frees you,you are free indeed.

Being Content

There is a great gift in being content with who you are and that gift is called internal joy\happiness.As we celebrate woman's month;I would like to remind women that the best character they can have is contentment.When you are content,you will know how to love yourself the way you are,you won't wait for your friend,parent,siblings or the man in your life to tell you that you are beautiful or need their approval to live your life.When a person do however tell you that you are beautiful it will be a confirmation.You will know that you were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and it took our Daddy sometime to create a beautiful creation like you,taken from a man's rib(wow isn't it that great to know).

You wouldn't be jealous of any person or rather say woman's achievements.If they paid lobola for your friend and you are still searching for Mr right,no need to be jealous,if your friend bought a car or a house,no need to be jealous,if she bought a new beautiful outfit,no need to be jealous,just remember that God's timing is the best and God knows our heart's desires and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in heaven.Some hinder themselves from receiving because of their wicked hearts,remember God looks into the heart.Who seeks more than he needs,hinders herself from enjoying what she has.Seek what you need and give up what you do not need,for in giving up what you don't need,you will learn what you really need.Learn to be happy with those who are happy and to mourn with those who mourn.The bible teaches us to love our neighbours as ourselves not to see threats in them.

Proverbs also talks about gossip mongers,do you want to be a woman who stands by the fence and gossip about everything you see or hear,do you want to be a woman who always there are people at your doorstep coming to confront you,women lets aspire to be admired by all,let's be women who our children,husbands and boyfriend will love and be proud of.

Teach yourself to appreciate what you have,who you are,where you come from and build your future therefore according to what you want to see youeself accomplish and accept dissapointments and failures as learning curves not defeat,remembering that we are more than conquerors through Christ the Lord.Do you want to be a victim of abuse because you think you need love or acceptance?If you are content,you will know what you want and how you want to be treated.As I matured in Christ I learned to be content with who I am,I love myself the way I am with my dark skin and big nose as I grew up being teased that way,that's makes me the Kulani that I am because I was created by God into His image and I am beautiful(Psalm 139:4).

In the book of proverbs,it says:A joyful heart makes a cheerful face,a sad face makes a despondent mood,all the days of a poor person were wretched but contentment is a feast without end.John 10:10 Jesus came that we may have life and have it to the fullest.

Limiting God

My sisters how many times have we limited God?How many times have we acted like Jonah(Jonah 1vs1-5).Sometimes we lose our way and do our will and we often see ourselves losing direction and power(power to pray and power to read the word of God,power to do His will).You cannot do anything by your own might nor power my dear sister,you need the power of the Holy spirit to guide youfor His thoughts are higher than our thoughts Isaiah 55vs8.

Stop limiting God my sisters in the Lord,psalm 78vs41 "Yea,they turned back and tempted God and limited the Holy One of Israel.How do we Christians limit God is one may ask.Your answer is by backsliding.When you backslide you limit God to use you,to guide you,to protect you,to provide for you etc.You open the door to the devil to do whatever he wanted to do with your life since birth and then when all goes wrong you blame God.His word guarantees us and He doesn't change meaning He stays the same and His promises remains the same but we change and run away from His presence where we leave His protection and when we fall we start blaming and cursing God.Psalm 78:30-38 Our Father is full of compassion,when you fall down GET UP AND DUST YOURSELF,DON"T STAY DOWN my sister for we serve a merciful God who do not hold grudges.When you walk with Our Heavenly Father do not try to hold His hand cause you will fall rather let Him hold your tiny hand and allow Him to lead as He knows the way.Tell me here when you were still a child and you were walking with your father to the shops or where ever,were you holding his hand or was he holding your hand?He was holding my hand and I knew I was safe.Do not let the devil remind you of your past cause "Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us that we might become God's righteousness in Him"2 Corinthians 5:21.Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return unto the Lord and He will have mercy upon him and Our God for He will abundantly pardon Isaiah 55:7.

I do not care why you blackslided my sister I only care about you\we returning to God,let Him wash you with the blood of the Lamb.When you run away from Him who do you think will inherit what He had put for us?He did that so that we must inherit.We are blessed for our sins were paid for in full,we are debt free.Our Daddy loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.When we return unto the Lord there is joy in heaven,remember the story of the prodigal son,when he returned his father threw him the biggest party.Forget what you did when you were in the wilderness for Our Father is a merciful Father,do not look down on yourself,take your cross and follow God.
