Are You The Right Man For Her?
Gen. 2:24
” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother
and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. "
Yesterday, we talked about different categories of wife
in the marriage market but today we are looking the types of men available in
the supermarket of marriage.
The Bible says ” a man shall leave his father and his
mother to cleave to his wife " so here the Bible tells us that it is the
man that is getting married to the woman not the other way around. Many men
have lost their parents prematurely because of not understanding this simple
fundamental of marriage,they put their parents first before their wives and God
forcefully removes the barrier which is hindering the progress of that marriage
to teach the husband what it means to cleave to his wife because by himself he
can't. When you take the decision to marry,you are entering into God's sacred
union&will live as per His guidance(the word).
There are also 4 categories of men in the supermarket of
marriage; bad husband, satanic husband, good husband and Godly husband.
1. BAD HUSBAND:
- he doesn't care about the feelings of his wife.
- his wife is a slave to him
- helping his wife to do anything at home is an
abomination.
- he barks at the children like a soldier at the parade
ground
- he is quick to beat his children with slightest
mistakes and also beat his wife.
- his children doesn't have access to his properties.
- he has a lot of concubines(girlfriends) like king
Solomon
- he is an addict drunker n master womanizer
- he seduce all his wife's friends and sisters.
- he doesn't put money for food at home but expect the
woman to cook.
- he dissociate the wife from all good friends and
neighbours.
- he doesn't want his wife to dress well to be admired by
other people but he runs after women who dress well outside.
- he is a commander and anyone who doesn't obey him get
the beating of life.
- he listen to sermons but condemns the pastors
- once the wife give birth to a child, he doesn't take
her out to cinema, restaurant or amusement park anymore. She has become old
school to him.
- he doesn't identify his wife sexual needs and doesn't
stay at home with her and children.
- he attends parties like Ankara and lace and love his
friends more than his family.
- he prefer his mother's opinion than that of his wife.
- he suspect his wife's every move as if she is seeing
another man.
- he set his own friend to try to seduce his wife to know
if she is faithful.
- he hates his wife's family with perfect hatred and
expects her to disown her family&love only his -he puts his mother and
father first before his wife and children
2. SATANIC HUSBAND:
- he is an agent
of darkness.
- he came into her life for a purpose to destroy her.
- he married her with charm and use his evil power to
collect all her properties
- he pretends to love her but he is only tearing her
apart
- he abandons her when his purpose of destroying her
destiny and future is accomplished.
-he stands in her way of her spiritual growth refusing
her to attend prayer meetings&night prayers or even engage in prayers in
the house.
-he permits her to praise the Lord in his presence saying
she is making noise
3. GOOD HUSBAND:
- he sees the wife as a friend, sister and mother.
- he doesn't cheat but prefer his wife and cherishes her.
- he drinks but not too much and he likes to spend time
with his wife and children.
- he make sure his family never lack but also plans for
beer parlour in his income.
- he doesn't allow intruder into his marriage and guide
his family jealously.
- he pays his children's school fees regularly and take
care of his wife needs.
- he pleases his mother and his wife without
preferential.
- he also take his wife and children out when he is on
leave.
- he doesn't really get angry at his wife and correct his
children with love.
- he loves his wife and respect her family.
4. GODLY HUSBAND:
- he loves God and
always pray for the progress of his family.
- he doesn't have any extra marital affairs(girlfriends).
- he train his children and wife in ways of the Lord.
- he loves talking about sermons.
- he takes responsibilities very serious and have a way
of meeting up with them even in financial difficulties.
- he supports his wife with resources and prayers to
achieve her destiny.
- he doesn't always find fault in her family but always
encourage everyone to be at best.
- he is a fun man and the house is lively with him.
- he knows the importance of feelings and always attends
to his wife sexual needs.
- he design a good prayer time for the family and he fast
regularly to check the spiritual background of her family.
- God is his first priority and after that his wife and children.
